I guess it's not too unusual for me to go a few weeks in between posts. I've wanted to post because I like to write thoughts down to help me remember where I was at a certain point in my life. Since Pablo came along 7 months ago, it's getting harder and harder to find the time to do this. Most of my spare time is used in maintaining my house. I can't do a lot of the things I used to so I'm having to settle for dust and grime. For the time being anyway. It will be nice once things return back to normal but I don't think that will happen until the little guy is in school...which should be the fall of 2014. By that time, my oldest will be college age. Yikes!
Ever since I was diagnosed with Miniere's disease, I've had these headaches that come and go. Not bad enough to be considered migraines but definitely debilitating enough for me to want to lie down. Another reason why my house is a mess. Luis does what he can to keep it clean but I'm married to a man who doesn't believe in discipline as far as when to stop working. He works pretty much from the time he gets the kids off to school until the wee hours of the morning. Whether it's preparing his sermons or Sunday School classes to teaching at seminary or visiting people or even doing his own reading for the doctoral program he's enrolled in. The poor guy barely has time to sleep.
Thus is the result when one gets overcommitted. His theory is that he will rest when his physical body dies.

Just to update a little bit...work is going exceptionally well. Lots of organizational changes going on in the company as they are changing the strategy and goals. If anyone has heard of what Ford Motor is doing lately...by giving buyers coverage of up to one year of their car payment if they lose their job...that coverage comes from my company, Assurant. I think it's pretty cool. It was announced last month that my company was awarded "the Best Company to Work for" and I believe it!
It's now time to fold yet another load of laundry while the baby is sleeping. Blessings to all of you!
